Army Academy celebrates its 70th founding anniversary

(Bqp.vn) - The Army Academy on July 2nd celebrated its 70th founding anniversary (July 7th 1946 - July 7th2016) and received the third-class military exploit order in the presence of Deputy Defense Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong.

On behalf of the State President, Sr. Lt. Gen. Be Xuan Truong pins the order onto the Army Academy's flag.

Addressing the event, Director of the academy, Major General Hoang Van Minh recalled  the history and development of the academy and its achievements in education and training, scientific research and in building the academy into a comprehensively strong unit while promoting its glorious tradition.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong congratulated the academy on its achievements over the past 70 years and urged the institution to well implement major orientation contents for education and training and related tasks in the coming time.

On this occasion, the academy was also honored with the Cambodian Friendship Order Norodom Sihamoni and the first class Bravery Order of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
