Military Zone 2 modifies armoured vehicle

(Bqp.vn) - Military Zone 2 has reviewed and approved a plan to upgrade the armoured vehicle BTR-152.

As these vehicles have been in use for years and no longer meet the demands of the current tasks, the zone assigned its technical troops to replace the gas engine with a diesel; and install various options, such as a new gearbox, clutch, rear mirrors, emergency light bar, hydraulic power steering, transmission power, and other parts.

After being installed with new options, the vehicle underwent extensive trials on different roads and conditions.

The zone highly evaluated the vehicles' performance and decided to put it into operation for training and combat readiness exercises.
