Cambodian NA leader wraps up official visit to Vietnam
(Bqp.vn) - President of the Cambodian National Assembly (NA), Samdech Heng Samrin, left Hanoi on August 20, successfully completing his three-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.

During his stay, Heng Samrin held talks with the Vietnamese NA leader, paid courtesy visits to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Truong Tan Sang, and held a meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
At the talks, Heng Samrin expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Party, State and people for saving Cambodia from the genocidal regime in Cambodia and for Vietnamese support in national reconstruction. He also noted the great sacrifices made by volunteer Vietnamese soldiers for the freedom and independence of Cambodia.
The leaders also noted that Vietnam is always keen to bolster its neighbourliness, traditional friendship and long-term comprehensive co-operation with Cambodia.
Both sides also spoke highly of the outcomes of the co-operation between the two National Assemblies and hoped that their legislative ties would further strengthen in the time to come contributing to deepening the Vietnam-Cambodia traditional friendship, solidarity and comprehensive co-operation.
