Ten more officers take on duties at the UN peacekeeping mission
(Bqp.vn) - Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh on August 18 chaired a ceremony in which to hand over the President’s decision to ten officers to take on duties at the United Nations peacekeeping mission at the UN headquarters, the Central African Republic and South Sudan.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh appreciated the preparations of the Vietnam Department for Peacekeeping Operations and highly spoke on the performance of Vietnamese peacekeeping officers over the past time.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh asked the officers to strictly follow the external policy of the Party, State and Army as well, and prove their capacity in all aspects in undertaking their missions. He also reminded the officers to report the Vietnam Department for Peacekeeping Operations on the security and pandemic situation in their host countries and share Vietnam’s experience in COVID-19 prevention and control with international colleagues.
