(Bqp.vn) - The Australia’s military transport aircraft C-17A Globemaster III carrying 30 personnel of the Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 2 of Vietnam on November 26 left Hanoi for UN peacekeeping missions in South Sudan.
Earlier, the military transport aircraft C-17A Globemaster III carrying 29 personnel of the L2FH Rotation 2 of Vietnam safely landed at Juba International Airport, South Sudan and successfully brought the first troops of the L2FH Rotation 1 of Vietnam to return home after completing their peacekeeping missions.
On behalf of the Ministry of National Defence’s leaders, Rear Admiral Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, representatives from the ministry’s units, Australian Ambassador Ms Robyn Mudie and relatives of the troops attended the ceremony to bid farewell to the 30 personnel.
Speaking at the event, Rear Admiral Nguyen Trong Binh expressed his belief that the officers and staff will overcome all difficulties to fulfill their assigned tasks, and further promote the noble virtues and images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers to international friends. He affirmed that the skills and qualifications that have been carefully honed in the pre-deployment period will help the Vietnamese personnel of the L2FH Rotation 2 to continue reaping achievements like the L2FH Rotation 1 in South Sudan.
