ActionsMinistry of National Defence wraps up the ADMM Retreat
(Bqp.vn) - On February 25, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Defence Minister chaired a meeting to wrap up the ADMM Retreat and prepare for the upcoming activities as well as defence - military meetings hosted by Ministry of National Defence in 2020.

At the meeting, the delegates highly valued the coordination between relevant agencies and units, which contributed to the overall success of ADMM Retreat. The success of ADMM Retreat also motivated the Ministry of National Defence to host the upcoming ASEAN defence - military meetings and activities in 2020. The Joint Statement by the ASEAN Defence Ministers on Defence Cooperation against Disease Outbreaks showed the proactive of Vietnam Ministry of National Defence in the context of COVID-19 happened in the region and consistent to the chosen theme of ASEAN 2020.
Also at the meeting, the delegates discussed about the external activities of the Ministry of National Defence in 2020, the meetings and activities hosted by the Ministry in 2020 as Vietnam takes over the role of ASEAN Chairman and the non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2020 - 2021 tenure such as ADMM, ADMM+, International Conference on Women and United Nations Peacekeeping Operation.
