The Ministry of National Defence reviews the preparations for the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Retreat

(Bqp.vn) - On February 7, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of National Defence, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Defence Minister chaired a meeting to review the preparations for the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Retreat (ADMM Retreat).

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh highly appreciated the preparations of relevant agencies and units for the event. Emphasizing that the successful organizing of ADMM Retreat will contribute to the overall success of the ASEAN military - defence meetings and activities in 2020, chaired by the Ministry of National Defence, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh proposed the relevant agencies and units continue to focus on doing well the preparations.

Expected to take place from February 18 - 20 in Hanoi, ADMM Retreat is one of ASEAN’s main defence - military meetings hosted by the Ministry of National Defence. At the meeting, the agencies and units reported the preparation work in all aspects and exchanged their opinions related to external activities of the Ministry of National Defence in 2020.

Earlier in the morning, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh led the Ministry of National Defence working delegation to check the preparations for ADMM Retreat, such as reception, security, safety, logistics at the venue where the event is to take place.
