(Bqp.vn) - The unarmed fighting martial arts maneuver of the whole army in 2014 has entered the 4th day of competition until the date of 15/12/2014. So far, 12 athletes to the semifinals has been identified. By the end of the 4th day of competition, 204 matches of total 334 of the tournament have been finished. Although being held for the first time by the General Staff, the maneuver has shown the scale, depth and received enthusiastic response from agencies and units. Earlier, in preparation for high results, the Organizing Committee directed the sub-committees, agencies and units to do well all preparations. In particular, the Organizing Committee directed the Department of Military Training in collaboration with Vietnam Martial Arts Federation to complete the charter of the maneuver right in September 2014.

Regarding the work of referees, the referee team consists of 9 members, including 1chief referee, 1 field referee, 1 time referee, 1 secretary referee and 5 supervision referees. Prior to the maneuver, the referee and coach training were organized very scientifically, and specifically in the whole army. The training was divided into 3 phases. Phase 1, training for team of referees in December 2013 with a total of 174 participants. Phase 2, training for referees and coaches in July 2014 with a total of 301 participants. Phase 3 taking place in September 2014 was the final phase of advanced training with a total of 90 participants. All the matches in the maneuver have been conducted strictly and fairly by referees without errors. At the end of competitions, the Organizing Committee holds meetings to listen to reflections of the chiefs of delegations to adjust and learn from experience. The faults during competitions as fighting “open glove”, kicking, hugging, clamping hand, hitting at nape... have been reminded, warned strictly if repeating offense would be penalized severely, so having deterred non-sport actions, and motivated athletes ...

Unarmed combat martial arts is an antagonistic and highly dangerous sport, therefore, the medical work is very important, the medical teams of the Military Hospitals 103, 105 and 354 have been regularly present on duty during the maneuver. In addition, competition costumes for athletes, armor, helmets, shin protection... are standardized comprehensively helping athletes peace of mind during the competition.

At this tournament, each game takes place in 12 minutes, each round lasts three minutes, 1 minute break between rounds. With the need to ensure the safety of the athletes competing at the highest level, field referee and chief referee shall have the right to request to stop a game based on the difference and competition ability of each athlete. Forms of identifying a winner or loser base on scoring through each round and winning in the form of “knock out”.

In addition, diet quantitative criteria, food safety and hygiene, accommodation for the delegations are taken care thoroughly by the logistics team, ensuring athletes best competition conditions. Thanks to the thorough preparation in all stages, it can be said that so far, the maneuver has been carried out properly its principles and objectives, which are: “Solidarity - Honesty - Nobility”.
