International Army Games 2021 in Vietnam successfully concludes
(Bqp.vn) - The closing ceremony of the “Sniper Frontier” and “Emergency Area” competitions within the framework of the International Army Games 2021 took place on September 4 in Vietnam. Defence Minister General Phan Van Giang chaired event. Attending the event were Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong and Russian Deputy Defence Minister Alexey Yurievich Krivoruchko.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia congratulated participating teams on completing the two competitions in Vietnam. The event held in Vietnam within the framework of the International Army Games 2021 gave a chance for participating troops to share their experience and skills and at the same time to strengthen military defence cooperation, further tighten the friendship and relationship among countries.

This is the first time the Vietnam People’s Army hosted the two competitions. The event took place in the context of the complicated global COVID-19 pandemic. However, under the direction of the leaders of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence, cooperation among ministries and central and local agencies as well as the support of Russia and participating delegations, the “Sniper Frontier” and “Emergency Area” competitions within the framework of the International Army Games 2021 concluded successfully.
At the event, organizing committee presented gold, silver and bronze medals to the “Sniper Frontier” contingents from Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Russia, respectively.
In the “Emergency Area” competition, the Russian contingent won the gold medal, while the Vietnamese and Belarusian teams bagged silver and bronze medals, respectively.
