Singaporean Armed Forces’ 57th founding anniversary marked in Vietnam

(Bqp.vn) - A ceremony was held on July 13 to celebrate the 57th founding anniversary of the Singaporean Armed Forces (1/7/1965 - 1/7/2022). Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan attended the event.

Over the past time, Vietnam - Singapore defence cooperation has gained many importance achievements in many fields, especially in exchanging high-ranking visits and meetings between leaders of the two countries’ defence ministries.

Both sides have also effectively maintained mechanisms for dialogue, information exchanges, human resource training, exchange of young officers, and close and effective coordination at multilateral forums. The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence has always attached much importance to the development of a reliable, effective and substantive relationship between the two militaries. The bilateral defence cooperation has made important contribution to the Vietnam - Singapore strategic partnership.
