Vietnam helps Cambodia fight against COVID-19 pandemic
(Bqp.vn) - On April 20, in Hanoi, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence held a ceremony to handover medical supplies to the Cambodian Ministry of Defence.

On behalf of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence, Major General Nguyen Hung Thang, Deputy Director the General Department of Logistics emphasized that Vietnam and Cambodia are two close neighbors with a good traditional friendship. In order to share difficulties with the Government and People of Cambodia, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence handovers medical supplies to the Cambodian Ministry of Defence for COVID-19 prevention and control. Major General Nguyen Hung Thang hoped that these medical supplies would contribute to effectively helping Cambodia in fighting against the pandemic. At the same time, he expressed his belief that Cambodia would soon overcome difficulties, control the pandemic, and ensure safety for the health of the people and development of the country as well.
For his part, Colonel Rem Kann, Cambodian Defence Attaché to Vietnam thanked the Government, the people and military of Vietnam for their valuable support. Colonel Rem Kann stressed that over the past years, the defence cooperation between the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Vietnam People’s Army has been increasingly strengthened. These medical supplies would contribute to deepening the solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam, he added.
