The minister also affirmed that the military press sector is an important and core component of the revolutionary press, which is always put under the direct leadership of the Party, the CMC and MND as well as the management of the General Department of Politics. The military press has always been operating in line with the regulations, effectively and vividly covering every aspect of life, especially military-defense activities. Military journalists and reporters are always present at flash points and areas of hardships to promptly cover important events and bring information to readers and audiences. Military press agencies have always closely followed the directions of higher levels to fight wrongful views of hostile forces and prevent “self-evolution” and “self-transformation,” contributing to protecting the theoretical background of the Vietnam Communist Party.

On behalf of the CMC, General Ngo Xuan Lich hailed all reporters and workers of the military press sector for their achievements and called on all military press agencies to better fulfill their missions in the coming time. He also required that the agencies should take effects of the fourth industrial revolution into consideration when implementing their tasks. He said that the military press sector should clearly realize technological advantages as well as challenges so as to best fulfill missions in the new period.
To meet this end, the minister stressed, military reporters of all kinds must always stay loyal to the Party, State, CMC and MND; closely follow instructions from higher-levels and relevant agencies; and resolutely struggle against any signs of commercializing military press products. The military press agencies must serve as a mirror in the revolutionary press sector of Vietnam by effectively carrying out the information service while proactively and actively finding approaches to modern forms of communications and making innovations in doing their jobs.
The minister emphasized that to achieve all these, the military press sector must focus on building healthy and strong Party organizations and enhance leadership capacity and effectively implement the restructuring of the sector under the project approved by the Prime Minister while enhancing connection between military press agencies and civilian ones. He believed that with high determination and sound awareness, the military press will contribute more to guiding public opinion toward the right so as to multiply power for national development.
