(Bqp.vn) - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Defence Minister handed over the President’s decision to two officers to take on duties at the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan on October 24.

Speaking at the event, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh appreciated highly the performance of Vietnamese peacekeeping officers who served in South Sudan and Central African Republic.

He asked the two officers to strictly follow regulations and rules of the Vietnam People’s Army and the UN peacekeeping mission in order to complete their assigned missions in the coming time.

Under the decision, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Le Ngoc Son and Major Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong will perform their tasks as military observers at the UN Mission in South Sudan.
