Veterans of Regiment 93 hold together

(Bqp.vn) - 300 veterans of Regiment 93 under Division 2 of Military Zone 5, former volunteer soldiers and experts met on September 28th in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province to celebrate 35 years since they were engaged in the international mission in Cambodia (October 1st).

During the meeting, veterans commemorated their comrades who had sacrificed their lives for the sacred mission, recalled their unforgetable memories while serving the army and encouraged each other to overcome difficulties for better life.

35 years ago, in response to legitimate request of the Cambodian Revolutionary Party, State and people, cadres and troops of the regiment were engaged in the mission in Cambidian localities to overthrow against the Pol Pot  genocide regime.

With their contributions, outstanding units and individuals of the regiment were awarded the title of “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” by the Party and State.
