ActionsResearchers on military history trained
(Bqp.vn) - The Vietnam Military History Institute, in association with the Military Zone 5 Command, opened a training course for 200 officers in charge of studying military history, in Da Nang City on September 25th.
Present at the opening ceremony were Major General Vu Quang Dao, Head of the Institute, and Major General Nguyen Trong Huy, Deputy Commander of Military Zone 5.
For 3 days, trainees are studying 5 core subjects of new topics that need to be studied in the new context; cooperation with foreign partners; objects, research scope and matters in research work; issues on studying military history relating to fixing military boundary and to military organizations through historical periods; and reviewing and using international and domestic military history documents.
In addition, they also share their experience in carrying out military history research at province and city levels, as well as join a fact-finding trip to Son My village, Son Tinh district, Quang Ngai Province where the US troops committed a massacre during the Vietnam War.
