Images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers beautified

(Bqp.vn) - The Ministry of National Defense gathered outstanding examples in an artistic exchange program in Hanoi on June 2 in celebration of the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's appeal for patriotic emulation.

The event, with the theme “Deserving to be Uncle Ho's soldiers”, saw the presence of Truong Hoa Binh, Permanent Deputy-Prime Minister, Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Vice-State President, Phan Dinh Trac, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Internal Affairs, General Pham Van Tra, former Defense Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the VPA’s General Staff and Deputy-Defense Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), amongst others.

Accordingly, audiences listened to delegates, who gained outstanding achievements in task performances.

Their stories recalled the nation's glorious history after President Ho Chi Minh made an appeal for patriotic emulation on June 11, 1948, as well as how present army officers have upheld the tradition to successfully receive and accomplish assigned missions, making contributions to beautifying the images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the contemporary context.

In addition, professional singers and artists performed songs and dances in praise of the country, President Ho Chi Minh, and the images of soldiers in response to emulation movements.
