Vietnam and Israel strengthen defense cooperation
(Bqp.vn) - On October 8, General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo Member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and Defense Minister received a delegation from Israel, led by Director General of Israeli Ministry of Defense Udi Adam, who was on his participation in the first Vietnam-Israel Defense Policy Dialogue.

Addressing the meeting, General Ngo Xuan Lich affirmed that the defense relations between Vietnam and Israel has made remarkable achievements over the past time, and expressed his hope that the two sides would be more actively in promoting cooperation in the fields of mutual interest.
For his part, Mr. Udi Adam thanked the host for the warm reception; hoped that the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense would continue to create favorable conditions for the two relevant agencies to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields, contributing to the development of the two countries’ relations.
Earlier the same day at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, Vietnamese Deputy Defense Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh and Director General of Israeli Ministry of Defense Udi Adam co-chaired the first Vietnam-Israel Defense Policy Dialogue.

The two sides exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual concern; reviewed the results of bilateral defense cooperation between the two countries over the past time and agreed to direct the cooperation in the near future.

The first Vietnam-Israel Defense Policy Dialogue was to realize the commitment of leaders of two countries in order to strengthen the solidarity between the two sides and contribute to peace and stability in the region and in the world as well.
