Incense offerings to General Vo Nguyen Giap

(Bqp.vn) - Minister of the National Defence General Phung Quang Thanh on December 16th offered incense to General Vo Nguyen Giap at 30 Hoang Dieu, Hanoi, on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and the 25th anniversary of the Whole People Defence Festival.

General Thanh bowed his head with deep respect for the first Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People’s Army who had made great contributions to the national revolutionary cause and the growth of the VPA.

At his talks with representatives from Late General Vo Nguyen Giap’s family General Thanh agreed on some contents of ensuring safe and solemn reception to troops and visitors at General Vo Nguyen Giap’s tomb in Vung Chua, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.

The Minister confirmed that the Ministry of National Defence will wholeheartedly support the family to upgrade the house at 30 Hoang Dieu to facilitate the welcome of troops and people who come here to pay homage to General Vo Nguyen Giap; and to keep intact what belonged to General Vo Nguyen Giap.
