Welcoming Tet at General Vo Nguyen Giap’s tomb

(Bqp.vn) - Troops of the Ron Border Post under the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command are responsible for protecting the place where General Vo Nguyen Giap rests in peace at Vung Chua-Yen Island (Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province).

 

Troops of the Ron Border Post conduct round-the-clock watch at General Vo Nguyen Giap's tomb.

Besides, they also instruct domestic people nationwide and Vietnamese Overseas to pay homage to the legendary General.

All of them feel proud to welcome the Eve of the Lunar New Year (Tet) while maintaining the watch at General Vo Nguyen Giap’s tomb. They said that it also expresses their tribute to the great contributions of the General to the Party and people’s revolutionary cause and the development of the Vietnam People’s Army.

 

The Ron Border Post's troops offer incense to pay respect to General Vo Nguyen Giap after State President Truong Tan Sang delivers his New Year congratulatory message.

Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Bong, Head of the Ron Border Post, said that over the past days, many people have been pouring to Vung Chua-Yen Island to commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap. The Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command reinforced a squad to ensure the round-the-clock security at the area.

After State President Truong Tan Sang delivered his New Year congratulatory message, the troops offered incense to pay respect to the General.
